We have two cozy, authentic log cabins for rent which are nestled in the foothills of the Rockies right beside Kananaskis Country. Situated in a private grove and surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of nature, our log cabins are perfect for that romantic weekend, spending some quality time with your kids, a getaway with your girlfriends or as a base for exploring the many things to see and do in the Alberta Rockies.
Whether you are looking to curl up by the fire with a good book, do some horseback riding or just want to hike up the ridge into Kananaskis country, you will find what you are looking for at Anchor D.

Be sure to reserve a guided horseback trail ride for your group – from 2 hours exploring the ridges and meadows around the ranch to a full day of adventure in the mountains. No stay at the cabins is complete without saddling up and experiencing a little of the cowboy way of life from the back of a horse, or taking a sleigh ride during the winter.
Nearby there is golfing, mountain biking at Sandy McNabb Recreation Area, fishing, swimming, shopping and restaurants. We’re within 1 – 2 hours drive from Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Remington-Alberta Carriage Museum, Glenbow Museum, Calgary Stampede, and many other attractions.
Rates and Policies:
Cost: $175 per night + GST (up to 4 guests)
Weekly Rate: $900 + GST (7 days, 6 nights)
Additional guests: $25/night/person + GST
Prices reflect cash/debit/certified cheque discount, add 3% for credit card
50% of the rental is required as a deposit at the time of booking, the remainder is due the day you arrive. Deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable to another party.

We wish to thank you for the wonderful seven day Great Divide Ride. We have worked and ridden horses in the remote South Westland part of New Zealand for 55 years in some of the most spectacular scenery in NZ, through snow, hail, rain, swollen rivers and sunshine.
Never in our wildest dreams did we think our former experiences could be surpassed, but these last seven days we have seen the most amazing scenery. Every time those strong surefooted horses climbed another ridge or mountain we were blown away by what lay in front of us.
