Due to the inherent risks of riding horses, we recommend that our guests wear a helmet. Since riding helmets need to be professionally fitted, we cannot provide them. Guests who choose to wear a riding helmet must bring their own.

To minimize the risk of having one of your feet getting caught in a stirrup, we recommend that you ride in cowboy boots. If you do not have cowboy boots, your shoes/boots must at least have:

  • Smooth leather soles
  • Heel
  • Pull off easily

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had on my ride on August 12th. August 12th was my twin sister and my birthday and she passed away 2 years ago in September and as kids our passion was horseback riding. The ride gave me such comfort and pleasure that I just really enjoyed the day. Justin was a fantastic guide and certainly made sure the ride was safe and enjoyable.
I would highly recommend Anchor D to anyone looking for a great day riding.
