Ride the Rockies – 3 Nights & 4 Days

Join us for a horseback adventure; saddle up and explore the Alberta Rockies with Anchor D! We’ll take you by horseback into our Mountain Wilderness Camp, it is a beautiful horseback ride into this camp, offering canvas outfitter tents with cots and foam mattresses for guests, a bathroom tent and a large kitchen tent.

Anchor D supplies all meals, starting with lunch on the first day, and ending with lunch on the last day. We supply everything for your trip but your sleeping bag and personal gear. Sleeping bag rentals are available.

Our 4-Day Adventurer trips meet at the ranch at 9 a.m. Monday mornings (please check dates below) from the middle of June to the middle of September. We truck the horses up to the trailhead, load the covered wagon, get everyone on their horses, and hit the trail for the ride through the mountains to our Mountain Wilderness Camp for your horseback adventure.

Ride Through Rivers, Valleys, Canyons & Passes

Heading out in a different direction every day, we will ride through rivers, valleys, canyons and passes. We travel through some incredibly rugged country where you will gain a new respect for your sure-footed mountain horse.

These horseback adventures will arrive back at the trailhead between 3 and 4 p.m. (that’s “cowboy time”) on Thursday afternoon.

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful way we were treated on our 4 day ride. It was phenominal, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely, meeting new people and seeing some of the most beautiful country in Canada. Your staff was very friendly and informative, and I enjoyed every aspect of this adventure. You are a consumate professional. You are always aware of safety for your guests, as a priority, and yet give us the freedom to do as we please, within your parameters. I would recommend you to anyone, and have told many people about this trip.
